It is said that developments in artificial intelligence will lead to the “singularity” in 2045, at which time computers will begin to outsmart humanity. In a special TV feature, “NEXT WORLD: Our Future,” NHK interviewed leading scientists and researchers across the globe in order to shed light on the overwhelming technological changes that are in store over the next thirty years. Rhizomatiks Design provided the art direction for the program’s innovative limited-time website, “SYMPHONY.” We also did our part to hasten the singularity by developing an artificial intelligence component that accommodated viewer interaction.
